Hope you all had a wonderful Sunday! This is just a quick post to report I completed my scheduled 16 miler today even though it was looking sketchy around 9:30 a.m. this morning, when I was still laying in bed and watching Mad Men Season 6 on my iPad. My motivation was draining as quickly as Don Draper’s office supply of bourbon.
I managed to scrape myself out of bed (how many times have I typed that sentence or similar in the life of this blog?) and get out the door. And I managed to squeak out those 16 miles at a decent long run pace for me:
This beautiful view, seen from the Tacoma Narrows Bridge, was my reward for running that many miles, the most I’ve run since the NYC Marathon last November:
Tonight I’m tired, but good tired. Thank goodness for compression socks! Gotta’ love marathon training.
